Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

What a cute and fabulous little place. As my little guy said, the place is small but the food is not just good, it is great! I tried the hummus and the falafel pita, both tasted so good, homemade and that is because as I found out, most of the ingredients here are homemade. My son had the Italian Beef, he ate the whole thing and said it was as close as to our local beef shop Portillo's. Friendly and cozy, better for take out as there are just a few tables available for dining in.

After a friends suggestion on facebook we traveled to this tiny, closet size, sandwich Mecca! With a simple but scrumptious menu it was difficult to choose just one sandwich. In the end I went with the tomato melt. It had a perfect combination of melty cheese, toasty bread, and lovely garlic. I found myself thinking about if for the rest of the day. My husband tried the wheat burger, and with a full mouth repeatedly said, "this is really good!" He described it as the most satisfying non-meat burger he has ever eaten. We also tried the soup of the day which was a sweet potato bisque, we literally licked our bowls because the soup was so tasty! We also had a lovely conversation with the owner and the chef who were warm, friendly and joy to speak with. They commented that originally they thought most people would get carry out but have been surprised by the number of people sticking around to eat-in. Although the restaurant is truly closet size it is made up for with fantastic food, a charming interior and kind and friendly owner and owner/chef. We will be back often!

Was looking around for a new place to eat around Cherokee St. I stumbled upon this place on when I was looking around on yelp. The place was much much smaller than I expected. It's basically 6 or 7 feet wide and super long. There are three tables inside, that won't sit more than 3 people, and a table outside fit for about 6. I looked up on the menu and was eyeing The Little Dipper. I heard the cashier say that the person that was just in line actually got the last one, my heart almost immediately dropped. I asked for another sandwich recommendation and the lady said the Carolina Reuben was pretty popular. It wasn't on the "main" menu hanging up, it was on it's own little menu. This was because it was originally just a special, but it was so popular they brought it back permanently. This Reuben wasn't your typical corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing Reuben. Turkey replaced the corned beef. There wasn't any cheese. Homemade coleslaw replaced the sauerkraut, and the dressing was a homemade thousand islands dressing. All of this was between two slices of the typical rye. The cashier handed me my order. I sat down at one of the three tables inside and attempted to pick up my sandwich. The sandwich was stuffed pretty well, some of the coleslaw fell out along with the dressing. I took one bite, and my mind exploded. WHOA! What is this?! I was so confused! I was kinda expecting to be a little disappointed since I didn't get The Little Dipper, but instead I should have thanked the person in front of me. The whole sandwich combination was seriously amazing. The dressing was so so good. That sandwich literally made my day. Please please try this sandwich when you visit! I will definitely be back. That sandwich has made this place one of my top three favorite sandwich joints in St. Louis.

Are these fake reviews, because this place blows! I guess if your stuck in the area is good, but service was horrible. Also, Jason is not what you call friendly at all, which I assume is the owner.

This is the cutest little sandwich stop around. First of all, the people are so wonderful and cheerful! And the food is delicious. I got The Little Dipper, a not-so-little Italian beef sandwich with cheese, giardinara, and rockin' au jus. Definitely check this place out next time you are on Cherokee Street, it is a fantastic new spot!

Awesome sandwiches! Reasonably priced and delicious. We had the Hot Tuna and the Little Dipper (Italian Beef). Fresh ingredients were a real plus. Jason the owner was very friendly. We will definitely be back!

I just heard about this place opening so I had to stop in for lunch. It is tiny -- only 6 seats. It got a little cramped, but oh well. I ordered the Little Dipper sandwich, spicy, with a side of gravy -- it was pretty large -- it had a ton of juicy, tender roast beef with provolone cheese and spicy giardiniera. It was excellent. Will be back again to try other sandwiches.

I had the Bagna cà uda and the Italian beef with provolone. Liked them both. I poured the left over au jus (i got a side of it for dipping my Italian beef) over my dogs dry food and they both looked very disappointed when it was gone :). Don't let the anchovy scare you in the Bagna cà uda it was great with a glass of red wine and enjoyed the leftovers the next day! I don't think i would like eating in the tiny space but had no issue getting it to go. Will go back. Want to try the tuna next. Jason was very friendly and chatted with me while filling my order.

I always get excited about a new sandwich place to try, and the Little Dipper didn't disappoint. It's quite small, but dining in is still comfortable as long as there aren't a lot of customers. I had the Little Dipper, an Italian beef au jus sandwich, and it's quite nice--rather large for $6, and filled with very tasty beef. My girlfriend had a salad, which was perfectly good but nothing particularly exciting. The rest of the menu is really intriguing (they have a good number of vegetarian options, which is always pleasing), and we'll definitely be back!
